Hurting

A fellow IFer said it well, "I've been more focused on staying strong and surviving work and not making other people feel uncomfortable with my sadness that I'm giving myself no space time or energy to just be sad. And I really need to, or I'm just never going to be able to heal."

Especially in the quiet places

A man on one of those forensic, murder mystery shows I am always watching said something that stuck with me. Let me paraphrase what he said, "I can go about my day. I can go to work. I can laugh. I can have fun. But the whisper of my child's murder is always there, and in the quiet moments of my life it is all I hear."


My whisper is infertility.
